Description
The Commonwealth Star is a seven-pointed star symbolising the Federation of Australia, which came into force on the 1st of January 1901.  Six points of the Star represent the six original states of the Commonwealth of Australia, while the seventh point represents Australia's territories and any future states.  The Commonwealth Star Earrings by Georgini have 72 stones representing the Nations and territories of the Commonwealth and celebrating  the Australian Athletes who combine under the banner of the Commonwealth in a magical display of the power of the human spirit.  The Commonwealth Star Earrings by Georgini are crafted from rhodium plated 925 sterling silver and measure approximately 19.1mm long by 12.7mm wide.
