Our History

Bevilles has a proud history of creating beautiful jewellery dating back to 1934. Founded by Leo Beville and his wife Rae on Bourke Street, Melbourne, the business began as a homewares retailer selling products such as blankets, chandeliers, and dinner sets.

In the early 1950s, jewellery and diamond rings were introduced into the product range, and Bevilles soon became one of Melbourne’s leading jewellery and giftware stores. In the late 1970s, Leo’s son Keith and his wife Deirdre expanded the business, opening a store at Knox City.

Since the late 1990s, Keith and Deirdre’s children, Michelle and Gary, have further grown the brand, transforming Bevilles into what it is today—a trusted name for jewellery that connects with life’s special moments, inspires confidence, and makes you feel fabulous.
